90% of American Airlines’ Fleet to Offer Free Wi-Fi by 2026 – Here’s What You Need to Know!

Starting in January, American Airlines will provide free Wi-Fi to members of its AAdvantage loyalty program. This service, sponsored by AT&T, will be available on about 90% of its fleet by next year. These planes are equipped with Intelsat and Viasat satellite Wi-Fi. Currently, American Airlines charges over $20 per flight for Wi-Fi. Some older Boeing wide-body aircraft will not offer free Wi-Fi but will still provide internet access. The airline has been testing this service on select routes. American Airlines also plans to install high-speed internet on 500 regional planes by the end of next year. This move follows similar initiatives by JetBlue Airways, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines, which started offering free Wi-Fi to their loyalty program members in recent years. United is currently outfitting its fleet with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite Wi-Fi for its MileagePlus members. Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines has not announced plans for free Wi-Fi.

With trade falling the USA should be able to pickup some ships for sealift. The shortage of crews could be made up by crews from the Philippines cleared with background checks for citizenship after a four year tour of duty.

For 20+ years, the Navy was a manpower reserve for the Army’s forever warsNow the Navy & USCG are laying up ships due to crew shortages. The land wars are over—so why isn’t the Army sending soldiers to help man Navy, USCG, & @MSCSealift ships? Seems like a no-brainer.

MAJOR problemWhile the U.S. Navy is desperate for more logistics ships & crews, the Army is quietly getting rid of theirs. This needs to be investigated NOW—or we’ll be relying on European & Chinese ships to move Army equipment to the fight. Unacceptable.
