This surge occurred despite a massive $320 million token unlock. Currently, the token’s price hovers around $8.40, a sharp decline of over 88% from its peak of above $71 on January 18. Investors have reportedly lost approximately $2 billion since purchasing the token earlier this year. The token unlock, which typically floods the market with new supply and depresses prices, seems to have been anticipated by the market, possibly contributing to the recent price uptick. However, the $320 million unlock increases the risk of a significant sell-off, especially considering the token’s thin liquidity. Data indicates that just $1.3 million can shift the token’s price by 2% on major exchanges. There are currently 636,000 TRUMP token holders, with only 12,285 wallets holding more than $1,000 worth of the cryptocurrency.
