80% More Satisfied: How Google’s AI is Revolutionizing Health and Science!

Google’s AI Overviews, launched last year, have led to an 80% increase in user satisfaction with search results. Users are now asking longer, more complex questions. Recent health-focused advancements on Gemini models have enhanced AI Overviews, making them more relevant and comprehensive on health topics while maintaining high clinical factuality. Google also introduced new medical records APIs globally in Health Connect, supporting over 50 data types including allergies, medications, and lab results. Last month, Google received FDA clearance for its Loss Of Pulse Detection feature on Pixel Watch 3, available in 14 countries and set to launch in the U.S. by the end of March. This feature detects pulse loss due to various medical emergencies and automatically calls emergency services. Google launched an AI co-scientist based on Gemini 2.0 to assist biomedical researchers in generating novel hypotheses and research plans. The tool is already in use with partners like Imperial College London and Stanford University. Additionally, Google introduced TxGemma, a collection of Gemma-based open models to enhance AI-powered drug discovery efficiency. TxGemma can predict properties of potential new therapies. Google is also collaborating with the Princess Mxima Center to develop Capricorn, an AI tool using Gemini models to accelerate personalized cancer treatments for pediatric patients.
