According to recent statistics, the video game industry is facing a significant talent drain. A staggering 75% of game developers may leave the industry within the next five years, citing burnout and lack of job satisfaction as primary reasons.
The numbers are alarming: 62% of developers reported working more than 40 hours per week, while 45% said they were not satisfied with their current job. Furthermore, a whopping 71% of respondents felt that the industry’s fast-paced nature was causing them to experience high levels of stress.
These statistics are particularly concerning given the industry’s growing reliance on specialized skills. In fact, 85% of developers reported that having access to skilled professionals is crucial for project success.

The gaming industry can hardly hold onto a W for long anymore. So many have lost their jobs in the past couple years and many more did today. Hoping they land somewhere quickly. This industry seems like you release a total banger or your whole studio may not exist.
