Although my parents were immigrants who immigrated here under a merit based system, the immigration policies we have now are an abomination. Until we have the infrastructure to support the population we currently have, I support a moratorium on all immigration for the time being.

As the daughter of a liberal Mexican immigrant and a conservative American, I find the situation in LA so disturbing. 1/Biden/Harris should NOT have admitted hundreds of thousands of unvetted people 2/There are GOOD people getting swept up WE NEED EMERGENCY IMMIGRATION REFORM

This is the spectacle for all to see so many in this country so badly wanted. Instead of this, Democrats could have shown real leadership through fundamental immigration reform with more legal work permits, asylum, and sensible pathways to citizenship.

Mass immigration has strained my home country, threatening its cultural heritage and economic stability. Lax laws now seem to favor newcomers over citizens, overburdening healthcare, housing, and welfare systems, which has raised taxes and skyrocketed housing costs for locals.

Yes, agree on need for serious conversation — and the status quo is unsustainable. What we need is immigration reform that accepts reality. This administration’s approach is not it: it’s cruel, demagogic and oblivious to the reality that the vast majority are coming here to work.
