During his ten-year tenure with the FBI, Wong co-led the investigation into the 2016 Bitfinex hack, resulting in the largest crypto seizure in U.S. history at $3.6 billion. He also played a key role in the $600 million Axie Infinity Ronin Bridge breach, linked to North Korea’s Lazarus Group. This attack led to the first U.S. sanctions on crypto mixing services. Wong’s latest major case involved tracking $7.7 million in crypto tied to North Korea’s IT worker laundering schemes. His work exposed how operatives used fake identities to secure jobs in the tech industry and funneled earnings back to Pyongyang. At TRM Labs, Wong aims to help disrupt criminal crypto activities.
