Yum Brands, the parent company of Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut, has partnered with Nvidia to enhance its use of artificial intelligence. This collaboration will introduce AI order-taking, Nvidia-powered computer vision, and AI-driven restaurant performance assessments. The technology is currently being piloted in some Pizza Hut and Taco Bell locations. A wider rollout is planned for over 500 restaurants across Yum’s portfolio in the second quarter. Yum will retain ownership of the intelligence generated from this partnership, allowing for customization and integration of advanced AI models. The terms of the partnership remain undisclosed. Over the past year, Nvidia’s stock has risen by 35%, while Yum’s stock increased by 14%. Nvidia’s market capitalization stands at $2.9 trillion, significantly larger than Yum’s $43.8 billion.
