This response was organic and picked up by the media. Lively’s lawsuit includes thousands of pages of text messages and emails, which Freedman claims were taken out of context. The lawsuit was filed on December 20, and the documents were initially published by The New York Times. Lively’s legal team confirmed that the documents were obtained through a subpoena served on Jonesworks LLC.
