Statistics show that 34% of mothers struggle with their sense of identity after childbirth. Lala Kent, a 34-year-old mother of two, shared her personal journey on her podcast. Kent, who has daughters Ocean, 4, and Sosa, 5 months, discussed feeling her identity is wrapped up in her kids. She underwent breast augmentation in June 2022 but now plans to redo the surgery due to changes from nursing her second child. Kent gave birth to Sosa via intrauterine insemination on September 3, 2024, and to Ocean in March 2021. On her podcast, she expressed concerns about losing her pre-motherhood identity. Kent also shared her sobriety journey, having been alcohol-free for over six years, and hopes to maintain open dialogues with her children about drinking as they grow up.
