RadNet’s acquisition of See-Mode Technologies has introduced AI-powered ultrasound imaging to its DeepHealth population health offerings. See-Mode’s technology, which focuses on thyroid and breast ultrasound, has shown a significant 30% reduction in scan time due to enhanced workflow efficiency. This improvement was observed during the early deployment of See-Mode’s FDA-approved thyroid ultrasound AI across a portion of RadNet’s imaging centers. RadNet operates over 900 ultrasound units, and the increased capacity from See-Mode’s technology is expected to improve access and revenue. In 2024, See-Mode received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its AI-powered thyroid ultrasound offering. A year earlier, See-Mode obtained regulatory approvals in Australia and New Zealand for its AI-powered breast and thyroid ultrasound technology. Additionally, RadNet has collaborated with GE HealthCare and Volpara Health Technologies to further advance AI in imaging across its 353 imaging centers in seven U.S. states.
