$2,400 Per Square Foot: Ferrari-Inspired Mansion Sets New Record

A Ferrari-inspired mansion in Delray Beach, Florida, known as Casa Maranello, sold for a record-breaking $50.5 million. This sale included a mansion swap, bespoke furniture, chandeliers, art, alcohol, and a miniature Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa sports car. The buyer, linked to William Cafaro, paid $24.5 million in cash and traded his own mansion valued at $26 million. The transaction was complex, involving multiple stakeholders and properties. Casa Maranello, with its seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, broke the local record for price per square foot at over $2,400, surpassing the previous record held by the neighboring Villa Spectre, which sold for $36.8 million. The new owners paid extra to keep a six-figure miniature Ferrari, showcasing the home’s luxurious amenities like custom chandeliers, a wellness area inspired by the Bulgari hotel, and a 95-foot-long pool.
