$8 Million for 30 Seconds: Super Bowl Ads Reach Record Prices

Fox Corp. has sold out all ad spots for Super Bowl 59, with over 10 commercials fetching a record $8 million each. The average price for ads was reported to be over $7 million during Fox’s November earnings call. The pricing escalated as inventory dwindled, with prices jumping by about $500,000 per spot as the event approached. Last year, the Super Bowl attracted an estimated 123.7 million viewers, highlighting the event’s massive audience draw. This year, viewers can expect ads from automakers, food and beverage companies, and an increase in commercials from the AI and pharmaceutical sectors. Additionally, Fox will stream the Super Bowl on its ad-supported service Tubi, offering advertisers more exposure.
