In the first quarter of 2025, climate technology companies canceled, downsized, or shut down 16 large-scale projects totaling $8 billion. This number of cancellations is significantly higher than in recent years. From August 2022 to the end of 2024, 18 projects faced similar fates. The data comes from E2, a nonpartisan policy group that tracks investments in manufacturing and energy projects. The group now includes cancellations, shutdowns, and downsizings in its regular reports. Among the canceled projects was a $670 million loan-backed factory in Georgia by Aspen Aerogels. Despite these setbacks, hundreds of other projects announced in recent years remain under construction or operational.

Take a look at the graphic, note the scaling factors, Wind 4.4, Uitlity PV 2.6, Rooftop PV 2.0.
Even if we need to double them, this is so easily doable that you have to ask yourself why are we still not there.
Don’t think for a moment that it’s cost, $360bill is 10 time more.
