Packers Clinch Playoffs with 34-0 Victory Over Saints

The Green Bay Packers secured their fifth playoff berth in six seasons under head coach Matt LaFleur with a decisive 34-0 win against the New Orleans Saints. This victory marks the Packers’ 11th win of the season, bringing their record to 11-4. If they win their final two games, LaFleur will achieve his fourth 13-win regular season. The Packers’ defense was formidable, forcing turnovers and limiting the Saints’ offense. Keisean Nixon’s strip-sack on Spencer Rattler, the Saints’ backup quarterback, led to a fumble recovery by Rashan Gary, marking the Packers’ 27th takeaway of the season. Safety Zayne Anderson also intercepted a pass, tying the Packers with the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans for third in the NFL with 28 takeaways. On offense, Josh Jacobs continued his scoring streak, tying the second-longest in Packers history with a touchdown in his sixth consecutive game. The Packers’ rushing attack was diverse, with nine different players contributing at least one rushing attempt, a feat not seen since 1953. The Saints, already eliminated from playoff contention, struggled offensively, averaging only 12.8 points per game with backup quarterbacks this season.
