Stellantis has introduced redesigned Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty trucks, aiming to reverse a three-year sales decline. The trucks feature a new 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel engine, delivering 430 horsepower and 1,075 foot-pounds of torque. They will hit U.S. dealers in the first quarter, starting at $47,560, which is $2,300 more than current models. The rollout of the smaller Ram 1500, which was delayed, has contributed to a 19% year-over-year sales drop in 2024, including a 16% decline in Ram pickup sales. Competitors like Ford and GM’s Chevrolet maintained level sales. The heavy-duty trucks offer a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 as an alternative, producing 405 horsepower and 429 foot-pounds of torque. The lineup includes models like Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Power Wagon, Limited Longhorn, and Limited, all built in Saltillo, Mexico.
