Leonard Williams, a veteran defensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks, was not selected for the Pro Bowl despite a standout season. His 9.0 sacks are tied for the most among NFC interior defensive linemen, and he leads the group with 15 tackles for loss and 26 quarterback hits. Williams outperformed the three players chosen over him: Dexter Lawrence (9.0 sacks, 8 TFLs, 16 QB hits), Vita Vea (6.0 sacks, 9 TFLs, 12 QB hits), and Jalen Carter (4.5 sacks, 12 TFLs, 16 QB hits). He also recorded a 92-yard interception return for a touchdown, the longest in NFL history by a defensive lineman, earning him NFC Defensive Player of the Week in early December. Despite these achievements, Williams was not selected, while teammate Devon Witherspoon made the Pro Bowl for the second consecutive year. Witherspoon, the fifth overall draft pick in 2023, acknowledged the oversight, calling it “crazy” that Williams was not included. Williams, however, remains an alternate and could still join the NFC roster.
