This reaction was immediate among traders. Following Ye’s comments, several memecoins named after him, which had been created in anticipation of his token launch, saw dramatic drops in value. One token lost over 65% of its value, while another plummeted by 89%. Ye had previously turned down a $2 million offer to launch his own token, emphasizing that he only engages in activities he is passionate about and knowledgeable in.
