Elon Musk’s Feud with UK PM: 75% of Brits Say “No” to Liberation

Elon Musk’s recent social media posts criticizing the UK government and calling for its “liberation” have sparked a significant backlash. A poll on Musk’s platform, X, asked if America should liberate Britain from its “tyrannical government,” with 75% of respondents voting “No.” UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer responded, accusing Musk of spreading misinformation and lies, particularly regarding the handling of child grooming gangs when Starmer was Director of Public Prosecutions. Starmer emphasized the need for political discourse based on facts, not falsehoods. Musk’s involvement in UK politics has also strained his relationship with Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, after Musk supported far-right activist Tommy Robinson. Despite their initial closeness, Farage disagreed with Musk’s stance, leading to a public fallout.
