Stephen Curry’s performance against the Orlando Magic was nothing short of spectacular. He scored 56 points, including a 56-foot running heave at halftime. Curry made 16 of 25 shots, with 12 of those being 3-pointers, the most by any player this season. He was also perfect from the free throw line, going 12-for-12. This game marked his 14th career 50-point game, tying him with LeBron James and Rick Barry for seventh most in NBA history. Curry has now had nine such games at age 30 or older, the most in NBA history. His third-quarter outburst alone saw him outscore the Magic 22-21, turning a 17-point deficit into a 12-point lead. The Warriors, now 7-1 since trading for Jimmy Butler, are half a game behind the LA Clippers for sixth in the Western Conference standings.
