Suki, an AI-powered voice tool, has introduced a new feature in its Suki Assistant that generates and stages prescription orders from ambient visits. This feature, initially rolled out to athenahealth’s electronic health record users, will soon be available through Epic, Oracle Health, and MEDITECH. Clinicians can now voice their prescription orders during patient encounters, allowing Suki to structure, code, and stage the orders for seamless submission. This advancement has already reduced documentation time by up to 72%. In 2023, Suki quadrupled its revenue, followed by a tripling in 2024, with expectations to triple again in 2025. Suki also raised $70 million in Series D funding in 2024, bringing its total funding to $165 million. Additionally, a report from the Peterson Health Technology Institute highlighted that ambient scribes are set to be one of the fastest technology adoptions in healthcare history.
