Roki Sasaki’s debut at Dodger Stadium was cut short in the second inning. The young pitcher managed only five outs while issuing four walks against the Detroit Tigers. Sasaki threw 61 pitches to 12 batters before being pulled by manager Dave Roberts. In his previous start against the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo, Sasaki walked five in three innings, throwing just 25 strikes out of 56 pitches. Back in Los Angeles, he allowed two runs and three singles, with 32 strikes among his pitches. Despite a challenging start, Sasaki remains optimistic about improving his performance. The Dodgers won the game 7-3, maintaining a perfect 5-0 record to start the season. Sasaki’s next start is scheduled for next weekend in Philadelphia.
