89-Year-Old Legend Sells 360 Million Records: Now Retires Due to Memory Issues

Johnny Mathis, aged 89, has announced his retirement from touring due to memory issues. He has canceled all concerts scheduled from June 2025 onward. Mathis, who has enjoyed a nearly 70-year career, was the third-best selling artist of the 20th century. His impressive stats include selling an estimated 360 million records and amassing a fortune of around $400 million. Throughout his career, he recorded 73 studio albums and once had five albums on the Billboard Chart at the same time. Fans expressed support and concern, but filming or streaming his final concerts will not be possible. However, there is potential for new music in the future. His last performances will be in the U.S., with dates available on his official website.
