The OKC Thunder is really taking advantage of a questionnable Celtics off-ball defense.
Hartenstein as an offensive hub is giving OKC a lot of offensive juice.

Thunder zone has been effective but I want you to notice the help defense shown to Tatum while they are in it. Boston has to get to ball movement and quick decisions in 2nd half, OKC has to keep them out of rhythm.

Great activity from the Oklahoma City Thunder on defense here. Holmgren at the level when Tatum comes off the screen, rotate to Horford popping but Holmgren recovers. Switch and help on the drive.

The Celtics missed a tonne of good looks against the Thunder. Credit OKC for turning the Cs over and making things consistently tough. It would be a rock fight of a series, but there’s nothing to be alarmed about. If the Cs shoot 19% from three in a series, they will lose.

Celtics had control over most of the first half last time against the Thunder. But OKC really changed the game in the 3rd with their physicality and defense.
C’s gotta be ready for the bumps and grabs. Should be a good one

NEW: The Celtics took 63 threes against the Thunder. A franchise record. Yet that wasn’t the problem.
“I thought we generated a lot of catch-and-shoot opportunities.”
