In a bold protest against collective punishment, two dorms at FCI Seagoville in Dallas, Texas, initiated a hunger strike. These dorms, housing several hundred inmates, did not go to chow on Monday morning. The strike was in response to the prison’s decision to indefinitely halt recreation time for all inmates. This punitive measure followed allegations of contraband smuggling into the facility. The interim warden’s decision to shut down recreational activities has been in effect for over a week. Typically, inmates at FCI Seagoville enjoy recreation time in the early morning and late afternoon, engaging in physical activities and playing musical instruments. Despite the pleasant outdoor temperatures in the 60s and 70s, inmates are confined indoors with limited recreational options. It remains uncertain whether Josh Duggar, serving a 151-month sentence for child sex-abuse material, participated in the hunger strike.

“Israeli prison service does not afford Suhor meal for Palestinian hostages so that they start their fast without having any food.
“They get a very bad meal at 10am. They keep it until the end of the day to break their fast.”
