The company also terminated over 260 sellers on its marketplace for not meeting compliance requirements. This comes after Shein recalled more than 300 hair dryer brushes in the U.S. due to an electrocution or shock hazard. No injuries were reported, and refunds are being offered. Shein’s efforts to demonstrate its commitment to product safety and sustainability are part of its charm offensive as it seeks to win over U.K. lawmakers. However, its general counsel in Europe, Yinan Zhu, evaded questions about the company’s supply chain during a British parliamentary hearing.
