8.4%! GameStop CEO’s Massive Stake After $10M Share Purchase

Ryan Cohen, GameStop’s CEO, recently boosted his investment in the company by purchasing 500,000 more shares. This acquisition cost him approximately $10.78 million, with each share priced at $21.55. Following this purchase, Cohen now holds 37,347,842 shares, which equates to about 8.4% of GameStop’s total outstanding shares. This move came shortly after GameStop announced its plan to include bitcoin in its treasury reserves. Additionally, the company raised $1.5 billion through convertible notes to fund its bitcoin acquisition strategy, a move that was finalized earlier this week. GameStop’s stock experienced a slight uptick in premarket trading after a 7% drop on the previous day.
