5th Team Ever: Lakers Win and Lose on Buzzer-Beaters in Back-to-Back Games!

The Los Angeles Lakers became just the fifth team in NBA history to win and lose on a buzzer-beater in consecutive games. They triumphed over Indiana with a tip-in by LeBron James at the buzzer on Wednesday, only to fall to the Chicago Bulls 119-117 the next day. Josh Giddey sealed the victory for the Bulls with a dramatic half-court shot at the buzzer. The Lakers had led by 13 points in the fourth quarter but couldn’t hold on. The Bulls made an impressive 11 out of 14 three-pointers in the final period, including three in the last 10 seconds. Giddey also recorded his fifth triple-double of the season, amassing 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists. This performance made him the first player in NBA history to achieve a triple-double and a winning buzzer-beater against the Lakers. The Bulls have now won 11 of their last 16 games, showcasing a remarkable turnaround after trading Zach LaVine and enduring a six-game losing streak.
