Riot Games has announced the locations for its international League of Legends esports events for 2026 and 2027. The 2026 World Championship will return to North America, following its last hosting in 2022 across San Francisco, Atlanta, New York, and Mexico City. Brazil will host the First Stand event in 2026, marking its first international League of Legends competition since MSI 2017. MSI 2026 will take place in South Korea. For 2027, First Stand will move to Southeast Asia, MSI will return to Europe, and the World Championship will be in South Korea. Additionally, Riot Games has introduced three splits for all major competitions in 2025, each with an international event, leading to format changes, the introduction of First Stand, and the creation of two new leagues, the LCP (Pacific) and LTA (Americas).
