The Cronos ecosystem has voted to increase its CRO token supply from 30 billion to 100 billion over the next 10 years. This decision came after a last-minute shift in the voting, with the proposal passing with 61.18% in favor, 17.61% against, 20.11% abstaining, and 0.11% vetoing. Initially, 86% of the community opposed the plan when it was first introduced. The vote required a 33.4% quorum to pass, which was achieved following a significant 3.35 billion CRO vote just before the deadline. Influential validators Electron, Antares, and Minotaur IV contributed a combined 3.2 billion CRO to support the proposal. Following the vote, CRO’s price dropped by 8.5% within 24 hours, despite a stable market. The Cronos network completed an upgrade shortly after the vote concluded on March 18 at 03:00 UTC.
