Universal’s Epic Universe, opening on May 22, is poised to generate a significant $2 billion for Florida in its first year. This new theme park, spanning 750 acres, is the largest Universal property to date and features five themed worlds. The economic impact of Epic Universe extends beyond its gates, with projections indicating the creation of over 17,500 new jobs in its inaugural year. Universal’s investment in this park has already contributed $11 billion to the national economy through construction and operational expenditures. From 2019 to 2023, Universal Orlando’s economic impact reached $44 billion, and in 2023 alone, it generated 94,000 jobs nationwide. The construction of Epic Universe alone created about 65,000 jobs. These statistics highlight the substantial economic influence of Epic Universe on both Florida and the broader U.S. economy.
