South Korea’s BDACS has partnered with Ripple Custody to secure institutional holdings of XRP and RLUSD. Ripple Custody provides infrastructure for crypto custodians, exchanges, and similar businesses to safely store, manage, and access cryptocurrencies. This move aligns with Korean authorities’ efforts to clarify regulations for corporate crypto participation. Ripple plans to enhance the XRP Ledger network with more compliance functions and expand lending features. XRP experienced a 2.2% drop in the past 24 hours, mirroring a broader market decline. Shaurya, the Co-Leader of CoinDesk’s tokens and data team in Asia, holds over $1,000 in various cryptocurrencies and provides liquidity to multiple DeFi platforms.
