Shocking Stat: Bitcoin ETFs Suffer $800M Outflow in April!

In April, U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced significant outflows, totaling over $800 million. This marks the second-highest monthly outflow for these funds, following a record $3.56 billion in February and $767 million in March. Meanwhile, the U.S. Treasury market saw strong institutional demand. On Monday, the Treasury sold $80 billion in three-month bills at an interest rate of 4.225%, up from 4.175%, and $68 billion in six-month bills at 4.06%. The bid-to-cover ratio for the three-month bills increased to 2.96 from 2.82, indicating nearly three times more bids than bills offered. The six-month bills’ ratio rose to 2.90 from 2.79. These statistics highlight the continued preference for U.S. Treasury bills as a safe haven amid economic uncertainty. Additionally, BofA’s 3-month guidance ratio fell to 0.4x, its lowest since April 2020 and below the historical average of 0.8x. U.S. recession odds have risen above 50% on betting platforms, reflecting increased market volatility.
