Recent data reveals a surprising shift in public perception. Historically, Democrats led significantly in polls asking which party cares more about people’s needs. In 2017, Democrats had a 13-point lead, in 2005 a 23-point lead, and even in 1994, a strong Republican year, Democrats led by 19 points. However, the latest polls show a tie between Democrats and Republicans on this question, marking a dramatic change. Among voters without a college degree, Republicans have gained ground, shifting from a 7-point Democratic lead in 2017 to a 9-point Republican lead now. In contrast, among those with a college degree, Democrats maintain their 18-point lead from 2017. This shift indicates that the Democratic base is increasingly composed of college-educated individuals, while Republicans are making significant inroads with the working class. Additionally, the generic congressional ballot shows Democrats leading by just one point, a stark contrast to their seven-point lead in April 2017.

CNN does a poll of THEIR VIEWERS to see which political party “Cares more for the needs of the people”. Were ‘shocked’ to see that over past 3 decades, Republicans have now TIED with the Democrats. Gee, wonder why? Trump is getting things done.

Thank you for voting. The correct answer is D – 87% of Minnesotans believe seniors have a fundamental “right to care.” Caring for our aging loved ones is a MN value. We must ensure they have access to the basic housing, medical care and support they deserve.
