The crypto market experienced a significant event with the OM token of the RWA protocol Mantra plummeting 90% to 70 cents. This crash resulted in a staggering $5.4 billion loss for investors. Investigations revealed that before the crash, at least 17 wallets moved 43.6 million OM tokens, valued at $227 million at the time, into exchanges. This movement represented 4.5% of the circulating supply. Two of these wallets were linked to Laser Digital. Meanwhile, bitcoin (BTC) showed resilience, trading within the $80,000 to $90,000 range. Despite this, concerns about U.S.-China trade tensions and a cooling demand for spot bitcoin ETFs, which saw outflows of over $700 million last week, suggest a cautious market outlook. Additionally, transaction volumes on Virtuals Protocol saw an uptick, and Mechanism’s Capital Andrew Kang increased his bullish bet on BTC to $200 million.
