Procter & Gamble reported a 33% surge in net income for the fiscal second quarter, reaching $4.63 billion, or $1.88 per share, up from $3.47 billion, or $1.40 per share, the previous year. Despite a modest 2% increase in net sales to $21.88 billion, the company’s organic revenue grew by 3%, excluding currency changes and divestments. Volume growth was 1%, with the baby, feminine, and family care division leading with a 4% increase, driven by brands like Charmin, Puffs, and Tampax. However, baby care sales dipped slightly. The grooming segment, including Gillette, saw a 2% volume rise, attributed to innovation. Fabric and home care products like Tide and Swiffer also saw a 1% volume increase. Conversely, the beauty division experienced a 1% volume drop, mainly due to declines in hair and skin care in Greater China. P&G reiterated its fiscal 2025 forecast, expecting core net earnings per share between $6.91 and $7.05 and revenue growth of 2% to 4%.
