The Pokémon World Championship 2025, set for August 15-17 in Anaheim, California, has introduced a significant change in spectator badge pricing. Previously free, the badges now cost $100, a stark contrast to the $40 charged last year and the $10 fee for the London Worlds, which drew 50,000 attendees. Fans can sign up for the interest list until March 23rd. The event will feature TCG, VGC, UNITE, and GO. The competitive scene has grown notably; in the 2010s, regional events saw 300 to 700 participants, but recent TCG events have exceeded 1,000 entrants. The most recent VGC international event also broke records with over 1,000 competitors.

Mar 11 I remember pre-ordering Pokémon boxes for $100 w/ free shipping for years from TCG Player. Now $100 OVER MSRP??? Still haven’t seen a surging sparks or prismatic evolutions pack either and the vending machines have been out of stock for months. This hobby is in such a dire spot.
