Asian Champions League Boasts a Staggering 15 Million RMB Prize Pool

The Asian Champions League (ACL), a new multi-title esports tournament, has announced a total prize pool of 15 million RMB, approximately $1.67 million. The distribution of this prize money across various game titles is still under wraps. The inaugural event will feature games like Crossfire, Delta Force, CS2, Street Fighter, League of Legends, Honor of Kings, and PUBG. Hero Esports, the organizer, plans to make the ACL an annual event with a six-month season, starting with seven to ten game titles. The 2025 edition will be held at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center, coinciding with DreamHack Shanghai. The ACL will be managed by the newly established Asia Champions League Foundation, with Jonny Wang and Xie Fan as CEO and President, respectively. Hero Esports, formerly VSPO, has a history of organizing major esports events and received a significant $265 million investment in 2023. The ACL is also set to partner with the Esports World Cup (EWC) for global qualifications.
