SynFutures, the largest decentralized exchange (DEX) on Coinbase’s layer-2 network Base, has launched Synthia, an AI trading agent. This platform, with a 24-hour trading volume of $220 million and liquidity at $768 million, allows traders to use natural language commands for asset swaps or transfers. Synthia’s rollout will occur in three phases. The first phase integrates with social media platform X, enabling basic commands like “swap 100 USDC for ETH.” The second phase will allow for the deployment of AI agents tailored for futures trading and liquidity management. The final phase introduces a “meta agent” capable of managing multiple AI agents to handle complex trading strategies. This development comes at a time when around 65% of all equities trading is executed by algorithms, highlighting the growing influence of AI in trading.
