11 Years On, Invictus Games Still Crucial for Veterans

The Invictus Games, co-founded by Prince Harry, have grown significantly since their inception in 2014. Initially featuring around 400 competitors from 13 nations, the event now includes up to 550 participants from over 20 countries. Prince Harry, who served in the British Armed Forces for a decade, emphasized the ongoing need for the Games, noting that even if only 5% of the 23 competing nations are involved in conflicts, the Games remain essential. He expressed concern about maintaining the momentum and support for veterans post-event, highlighting the importance of the community and camaraderie established during the Games. The 2025 event will be held in Vancouver and Whistler from February 8 to 16.
