In a rare glimpse into her personal life, reality TV star NeNe Leakes revealed that she turned down an opportunity to appear on season 4 of the show “Traitors” due to her son Brentt’s ongoing recovery from congestive heart failure and stroke. According to the American Heart Association, approximately 1 in 5 Americans have a family member living with congestive heart failure, making NeNe’s experience all too common.
In October 2022, Brentt was hospitalized for congestive heart failure and stroke, and despite undergoing a heart transplant in July 2024, he continues to recover from a heart implant rejection. This personal crisis led NeNe to prioritize her son’s health over the TV show, dispelling rumors that she turned down the opportunity due to low pay. In fact, NeNe confirmed that she received the payment but was unable to participate.

I’m so sorry, Laird. I understand completely. They’re much loved members of the family, and it’s tough watching them slow down.
I have a little furry companion that’s in her 15th year, and she has congestive heart failure. Every day it gets a little worse, and I know she won’t

If a family member dies suddenly before age 65 without major medical issues, consider hidden coronary artery disease. One cause is familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) a genetic condition that keeps LDL cholesterol high despite healthy habits. Early detection saves you! Akwatia MP
