Statistics reveal that Richard Frediani, the editor of BBC Breakfast, faces allegations of workplace bullying from a total of 20 colleagues. Initially, nine individuals spoke out about their experiences with Frediani. Following this, an additional 11 people came forward, with seven of them having worked with him at his previous employer, ITN, for nearly 14 years. At ITN, Frediani held senior roles on the team producing ITV News. The allegations against him include physical misconduct, such as an incident in 2019 where he allegedly cornered a colleague and jabbed his finger at them. Furthermore, three sources reported that Radio 2 newsreader Tina Daheley, who has been with the BBC for over 17 years, chose not to appear on Frediani’s News at One after a press release error. The BBC has seen improvements in its complaints handling, with staff expressing more confidence in the process. However, concerns persist about the handling of complaints against Frediani, especially given his expanded responsibilities to include News at One despite previous allegations.

I’m afraid his predatory behaviour was known about for a long time at the BBC who did nothing about his employment and turned a blind eye to it. I really don’t know why anyone would be asking
@MsBlaireWhite
about him at all though. Beats me.

You’re a fine one to talk about values and decency. Found guilty of bullying and sacked for having unauthorised talks with Israeli ministers.

It’s not a coincidence that media use this kind of language.
Recently, the BBC’s Middle East Editor was outed as a former CIA asset and Mossad collaborator.
