Valve’s March 2025 update for Dota 2 has significantly altered how high-level players interact with the game. The update raised the MMR threshold from 6,500 to 8,500, restricting Immortal Draft access to the top 0.5% of players. This change means that Immortal Draft games no longer appear in public match history, and replay access is limited to participants only. The lack of public match data for players above 8,500 MMR severely disrupts third-party tools and websites like Dotabuff and Dota2ProTracker, which rely on this data to analyze hero trends, item builds, and win rates. Without these statistics, it’s challenging to make data-driven assessments of high-level gameplay. This shift impacts not only professional teams, who will have fewer shortcuts for analyzing opponents, but also regular players, who will find it harder to improve without access to these insights.

i’ve never played a game that had so many grown ass crybabies. throwing the match because you didn’t get to play the new hero is genuinely so childish. and you know they won’t leave only because they’ve left too many times and will have longer penalties.

Now that I’m back to recording more MvM footage, I’m finally bearing the brunt of just how fucking horrible these new matchmaking changes are.If you’re not playing at ideal player-hours, queues are now like 3-4x longer than they were before this patch.

This is such a valid crash out tho. Like there are genuinely people that should not have even been in gm last season and now are making people get stuck in these low elos, it genuinely is awful and some of the worst ranked experiences I have ever had

I’ve respected this game for 20+ years. Had a huge break in playing. Came back. Fell back in love with the lore, the mechanics, the character uniqueness, and the learning curve involved. But today, I don’t feel none of that. Today I feel sad for the game we all loved for so

A step in the right direction! But it does hurt lower mmr players who use dota2protracker as the ONLY GOOD source of dota guides. New players should NOT use in game guides as they are 1 dimensional. Maybe delay stats by 3 weeks instead? This feels like a phase 1 of changes?
