Strategy has successfully raised $711.2 million through the sale of 8.5 million shares of its 10% Series A Perpetual Strife Preferred Stock. Each share was sold at $85, exceeding the company’s initial goal of $500 million. The new stock series offers a higher coupon rate of 10% compared to the previous 8% and does not include a common share conversion provision. The funds are primarily intended for purchasing more bitcoin. Currently, Strategy owns over 499,200 bitcoins. With the new capital, their bitcoin holdings are expected to exceed 500,000 tokens. At the time of the announcement, Strategy’s shares were trading just under $300 in premarket action, while bitcoin remained stable at $84,000.
