Party City closes suddenly & files for bankruptcy, firing all their workers w/ no severance rt before Xmas. You can’t tell me they didn’t know what was coming. There’s a carelessness to this timing that feels so arrogant & it’s peak Big Corp behavior. This is why we hate CEOs.

There is no plan B for their careers. They can’t pivot into some other industry, they have no marketable skills beyond working in the parts of the blob apparatus that are on fire right now. This is the Palisades fire, but in DC — total loss but no insurance or safety net.

This is absolutely devastating… everyone at PFG was so passionate and put their heart and soul into everything they did, I hope they all find good work soon as I’d be more that happy to work with any of them again!

Yup. It’s wild to see replies completely miss the point. We weren’t the decision makers. We did our jobs and we lost everything with one week’s notice. Insulting staff who are even more hurt and upset then them is insane to me.
