Cadillac anticipates that 30% to 35% of its U.S. sales in 2025 will be electric vehicles (EVs). This is a significant jump from the 18% of U.S. sales, or 29,072 vehicles, recorded in 2024. The luxury brand plans to offer five EVs by the end of this year, including the recently launched Escalade IQ and the entry-level Optiq crossover. Last year, Cadillac’s U.S. sales rose by 8.8%, driven by a more than threefold increase in Lyriq sales, which began in late 2022. Nationally, EVs made up 8.1% of the 16 million vehicles sold in the U.S. last year, falling short of the anticipated 10%. The Escalade IQ, starting at around $130,000, is the largest all-electric SUV available. The Optiq, priced at about $55,000, aims to be the entry-level EV, entering a competitive market currently led by the Lyriq.
