As of April 2025, League of Legends boasts an impressive total of 1,781 skins. These digital cosmetics, which have been part of the game since 2009, allow players to customize their characters’ appearances. Skins are divided into nine variants, each offering unique visual and auditory changes. The most common type, Epic skins, typically include new models and sound effects. At the other end of the spectrum, Exalted skins, the highest tier, provide exclusive voice lines and visual overhauls. Skins can be acquired using Riot Points (RP) or through special in-game events. Miss Fortune and Lux lead the pack with 22 skins each, while Ahri follows with 19. The rarest skins, known as PAX skins, were only available at PAX conventions around 2010. Rare skins can also be earned through special events or promotions tied to new storylines.
