1.5 Billion Downloads: The Staggering Reach of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is shifting its US publishing operations to Skystone, starting March 27th. The new version, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang US, will be available for download on the same day. Players will not lose their progress or data during this transition but must download the new version. Google Play users can claim exclusive rewards, while Skystone aims to expedite the approval process for iOS users on the App Store. MLBB boasts over 1.5 billion downloads and 110 million active monthly users, making it a leading mobile esports game worldwide. The game was temporarily banned in the US on January 19th, 2025, following TikTok’s ban, but resumed services on January 21st after an Executive Order. This order delays enforcement of the ban until April 3rd. The digital card game Marvel Snap, also owned by ByteDance, faced a similar ban and resumed on January 21st. Skystone, founded in 2020, is known for PC and console titles but also publishes mobile games.
