Statistics reveal that 47% of respondents believe the U.S. is now liberating itself from globalization. This sentiment aligns with recent economic policy shifts, marking the most significant change since World War II. Over the past 40 years, the top 50% of income earners, particularly the top 10%, have amassed considerable wealth. In stark contrast, the bottom 50% have struggled, indicating a widening economic divide. In response, new tariffs have been introduced: a 34% tariff on China, a 20% tariff on the European Union, and a 25% tariff on foreign autos. These measures aim to counteract the 67% and 39% tariffs that China and the EU, respectively, impose on U.S. goods. Since the announcement of these tariffs, the U.S. has seen an influx of $3 trillion in private investment. This investment surpasses the combined spending on recent major initiatives like CHIPS, infrastructure, and the Green New Deal. These statistics highlight a pivotal moment in U.S. economic policy, aimed at revitalizing domestic industry and addressing long-standing economic disparities.

With the tarriff move, we are watching something remarkable slip away. For thirty years, globalization lifted over a billion people out of poverty. It gave a kid in Bangladesh the chance to sell handicrafts to someone in Boston. It meant a farmer in Kenya could check coffee

Donald Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs are a stroke of genius—pure, unadulterated brilliance!
Unveiled this week with a 10% baseline on all imports, skyrocketing to 54% on China, 44% on Myanmar, and 26% on India, Trump’s turning the tables on decades of global

Trump turned liberation day into a fiasco for the markets and for his economic team. Where did they even make up those numbers for the tariffs they claim are imposed by:
EU: = 39%
China = 64
Indonesia: = 64%
India: = 52%
Vietnam= 90%
Below are the numbers given as the weighted

As trade become more free following WWII, REAL (inflation-adjusted) economic output exploded in the USA– by more than 300 percent. Liberation Day is an Orwellian sleight of hand.

Trump just shared outright Liberation Day economic falsehood– claiming the USA was the “wealthiest it’s every been” in the late 1800s. Inflation-adjusted economic output per person is nearly $60,000 today– vs. under $8,000 in pre-1900. Tariffs suffocate growth.
